Hey! Looks like you are a new visitor, you may want to subscribe to my Lens RSS feed. Or my shared links Convex RSSThanks for visiting!

I am changing my job. I am also moving out, to Chennai. My short break has come to an end. My further frequency of posting will depend on the facilities there.
There are few things that I will miss and few things that I will gain. I might write later about it. It was not an easy decision, but then life is like that.

Rangashankara - Sleuth

with 2 comments

Sleuth is one of the most produced plays and most successful thriller by Anthony Shaffer. Produced by ACTor Company Theater, this play is being staged thrice a day for a week. I thought there would be no takers for the morning show, but I was wrong. One day I had to return empty handed.

Kajol

Endorsement:

She is a very choosy girl. Her endorsements have been very few. I think she is the only among good leading ladies not to have endorsed Lux. Apart from the recent ad with hubby Ajay Devgan, her previous ad was for Pepsi 6 years ago.

Now she is chosen as brand ambassadress for Asmi. What is interesting is she is not just approached for the endorsement but voted.

An intensive consumer survey revealed that Kajol inspires women across India.

But what is more interesting for me is that she is acting in a movie. Read the rest of this entry »

Fooling around

without comments

Our class e-group occasionally sleeps or should I say hibernates. So we (I & Sriram) decided to create some news on the group that would attract the people to reply. And the first mail goes out :

End of first innings for PK!!!
Pk has plans to end his bachelorhood and will be starting a different innings!

This mail is on behalf of our dear friend, PK who will be “catch”ing a “maiden” as his life “partner”. The date does not seem to be fixed. He was feeling quite shy to share this news with all of us.

He is willing to give a party on this 23rd, i.e, next-to-next saturday!!
Arrive there to celeberate this momentous (is it so?? ;)) day of his life.

There seems to be a story behind this alliance and he is on the footsteps of Sachin (his role model) in some aspects!!

Pitch: Pai Viceroy - Party Hall, Jayanagar 3rd block
Time: 7:00 PM onwards
Date: Apr. 23rd 2005.

Pk is our dear friend, whose speedy maths, quick-wit, comic one-liners are as great a hit as his love for and talent in cricket. He is sort of shy guy and his marriage, as we guessed, would surprise many!

We felt just playing a prank on him would not be very successful and thought of getting him involved! Initially he baffled, but being a good sport he agreed to co-operate.

Crazy fella

with one comment

I am. Yes, I don’t think anyone else would watch back to back movies in cinema hall. PVR. That too alone :D
What the heck ? I havent seen a movie for last 2-3 months. Also I am on a break to relax and enjoy :) When I was busy, everyone seemed to enjoy, now when others are quite occupied, I am having gala time !! I know- watching movies is not that great enjoyment, but then …

If it is worth the time, reviews will follow.

Somehow, lonliness is not as scary! Atleast for me.

Aptha Mitra

The movie has already crossed 300 days of showing all across Karnataka. Such movies usually raise the expectations and then disappoint me. Not Apthamitra.

Produced by Dwarakish, Directed by P Vasu this movie brings mega stars in one screen: Ramesh, Vishnuvardhan, Soundarya and Prema.

It starts off promptly introducing Ramesh(Ramesh) who with his wife Ganga (Soundarya), come to a village and wish to stay in a haunted house much against the wishes of relatives and localities. The house is known to be a place where King had married a danseuse Nagavalli and later burnt her to death after learning about her love affair with neighbour Ramnath, a dance teacher. It is said that her spirit is locked in a room in the house. Enter Ramesh’s friend Vijay(Vishnu), a psychologist.
